Department Information

There are 2 lessons a fortnight on the timetable for KS3 and 1 lesson a fortnight for KS4.

PSHCE is broken down to 3 units:

KS3

Year 7

Health & Wellbeing –
Transition and safety
Transition to secondary school and personal safety in and outside of school, including first aid and road safety.

Developing skills and aspirations
Careers and teamwork and enterprise skills and raising aspirations

Relationships –
Diversity
Diversity, prejudice and bullying. Looking at different types of bullying e.g. physical, emotional, online

Health and Puberty
Healthy routines, influences on health, puberty, and unwanted contact

Self-worth, romance and friendships (including online) and relationship boundaries

Financial decision makers
Saving, borrowing, budgeting and making financial choices

Drugs and alcohol
Alcohol and drug misuse and pressures relating to drug use
