The Ski Trip at the Wiederkehr Jugendhotel in Wagrain Austria on the 15th of February ready for a great week of snowy adventures. The children and the ski team of Mr Loader, Mrs Brundish, Mr Sherringham, Miss Parkins, Mr Larkin and Miss Nevins greeted with fresh snow and we quickly settled into our home for the week.  

On Sunday morning we met our four fantastic ski instructors who were amazing all week. After introductions all groups were underway. The snow held up all week and the conditions were great; all our students made great progress with beginner groups flying down the red slope by the end of the week. 

Evening entertainment was always a big part of the trip with Sunday kicking things off with a trip to the Wasserwelt . The famous ski trip quiz, sports hall and games night on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday we were off to see the Zell am See Ice Bears in action (EK Zeller Eisbären) for another all-action ice hockey match which is always a huge highlight. 

On Thursday it was traditional fancy dress day with students and staff dressed up. The theme was movies, and we had some amazing efforts. Students also took to the slalom course to try to set the fastest time, and it was amazing to see the progress of all the students throughout the week. This was recognised at the awards ceremony that night where the ski instructors and teachers gave out their awards. 

On Friday we got in the final day of skiing to end an amazing week before our journey home. 

We look forward to returning to Wiederkehr again in 2026.
