Transition Information
1. KEY DATES
- October 2025: Visit on Open Evening or a SCHOOL TOUR
- Submit application via SURREY ADMISSIONS WEBSITE. Applications for Year 7 2026 to be submitted by 24 October 2025 (final deadline 31 October).
- National Offer Day for Year 7 2026 Secondary places - 3rd March 2026.
- Check your email or Surrey Admissions account for your school place offer
- Confirm your acceptance of the offered place by 16 March 2026
- Late March/Early April 2026 – The Priory School will receive its list of pupils.
- Headteacher and Head of Year 7 contact all pupils on this list
- Admissions send your Welcome, Induction and Information Pack
- June 2026 - Head of Year 7 visits all Primary Schools to meet new pupils
- June 2026 - SENCo contacts Primary Schools re SEN pupils
- June/July 2026 - Induction programme begins. We hold two Online Meetings for Parents/Students, An Information Evening at School for Parents & Students and a full Induction Day for Pupils
- Any pupils who are the only student to join from a Primary are invited to take part in our additional transition program.
- August 2026 - Optional Summer School for new Year 7 students.
- September 2026 - First Day: Year 7 start with one other year group to ensure a smooth transition.
2. SUPPORTING CHILDREN'S TRANSITION

Excellent transition programme with all Primary Schools.
Form Tutors will be announced in July. They will be the person to go to for daily check-ins and guidance.
SENCo – Support for students with additional needs.
Student Ambassadors – Friendly faces to help you settle in.
Head and Senior Prefect team lead sessions with new students.
