Performance
Performance information for schools nationally is published by the Secretary of State.
Key stage 4 performance measures are based on tests, exams and assessments. They include:
- Progress 8 score
- Attainment in English and Maths
- Attainment 8 score
- English Baccalaureate (EBacc) average point score (APS)

Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.
Key Stage 4 Results
GCSE Results Summer 2024
We were pleased to celebrate progress with our students this
summer including 64 grades that were an 8 or a 9.
In Biology, Chemistry and Physics 100% of students achieved a
grade of 5 or above. 29% of grades in Biology, Chemistry and
Physics were grade 9.
In English 63% of students achieved a grade 4 or higher, with 15%
of those grades being above a 7.
In Math this was 60% gained a grade 4 or above, and 11% of
those grades were above a 7.
In creative subjects’ students achieving a grade of 4 or above
included; 63% in Art, 67% in PE and 60% in Music.
Results Highlights 2022/23:
Our GCSE results consistently support students in attaining a strong suite of passes facilitating them on the next part of their academic journey. These results show a steady upward trend of performance by our students.
- 66.4% of students achieved grade 4+ in English and Maths
- 46% of students achieved grade 5+ in English and Maths
- 74.5% of students achieved grade 4+ in English
- 73% of students achieved grade 4+ in Maths
- Average attainment grade was 4.4
- 25% of students were entered for the Ebacc
- Ebacc average point score: 3.8
