On October the 9th we raced at the international finals at Goodwood Motor Circuit representing our school. It was an amazing day. Both cars were lucky enough to have placed in the top 15 kit cars in the country and be invited to the international finals.
Race 1 started off steady with Danny racing first for Raptor and Hugo for Hunter. After 30 minutes both cars came into the pits, Nathan took over from Danny in Raptor and Callen for Hugo in Hunter. In the final driver change, Ruby took over from Nathan in Raptor and Harry took over from Callen in Hunter. The race didn’t go exactly how we would have liked Hunter placing 20th and Raptor 8th, but both teams entered race 2 with enthusiasm.
Race 2 was much better for both cars due to a gear change at lunchtime. Raptor placed 2nd kit car and Hunter 12th. It was an exciting race and the pressure was high but both teams handled it with ease.
Finally, the awards ceremony. Raptor did an excellent job placing 3rd kit car internationally and gaining us all medals and a massive trophy. It was a brilliant day and everyone had a great time.
