After a delay from the end of the Summer Term due to the heatwave, it made a fabulous start to the new Autumn Term to be able to hold our annual Priory Awards Evening on Tuesday 6th September.

The evening started with the most incredible array of food, prepared by our Head of Food Technology Mr Taylor and his very talented Year 11 Hospitality and Catering students. The students worked all day to create chicken kebabs, lamb koftas, salmon blinis, risotto balls and so much more which our award winners and their guests were able to enjoy.

Following this, award winners and guests took their seats in the hall as the presentations began with Heads of Year giving out their Year Group prizes. One student from each year group was celebrated for their outstanding effort, attitude or contribution to the school over the previous year. Then it was the turn of each Head of Department to celebrate the hard work and achievements of a student from each Year Group that was deserving of recognition in their subject area. Finally, Mrs Trimnell gave out two very special Senior Leadership Team awards. Ben Harrington was presented with the Courageous Advocacy award for his work on ecology within our school and the wider community and Isobel Castle won the award for Commitment to Excellence.

The evening was punctuated with musical performances from Emily Scanlon (year 8), Jemimah Taylor (year 9) and Gerta Pirani Manco (year 10).
