Will The Priory Greenpower Racing team win again?
After the team’s history of fantastic performances and well-deserved wins, we were overjoyed to find out that the Priory Greenpower racing team has been successful in qualifying for the International Final which takes place this Sunday, 10 October at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
The Priory Greenpower club allows students to build and race two electric vehicles which the students design and build within professionally drafted specifications and have only a small helping hand from adults. Events are organised for weekends at major motor circuits around the UK. Circuits include Goodwood, Castle Combe and Dunsfold (the Top Gear test track). The Greenpower Education Trust’s objective is to inspire more young people to become engineers by presenting the engineering industry as an interesting and relevant career choice.
The Priory School is looking for sponsorship for their two Greenpower electric racing cars. They are asking for a yearly donation of £250, and in return, your company logo will go on the cars, the trailer, and four times a year you will get an advert in the school newsletter that goes out to 700 families. If you are interested in sponsoring the team, please email Mr Hadler at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mrs Brundish at email@example.com.
The Priory School has a proud history in motor racing as the racing driver Billy Monger is a former student of the school.
